Updates to the Edmonton Solar Program

March 30, 2020.

In light of the current COVID-19 situation the City of Edmonton has made a few changes to the terms and conditions of the solar rebate program called “Change homes for climate“. It is now allowing deadline extensions for completion of projects facing potential delays.

If you submitted your Net-Metering solar application to the City of Edmonton and received your Part 1 approval on or before March 31, 2020, you now have time until September 31, 2020 to install and connect your project, and submit all the supporting documentation under section 5.2.

For applications submitted and “Part 1” approved after March 31, 2020 the City of Edmonton will allow 9 months to energize, interconnect, and provide all the supporting documentation under section 5.2
